The National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD) and the Navy of the Republic reported that they confiscated 232 packages of cocaine, near the shores of Barbacoa beach, Miches municipality, Seibo province.
Authorities said that through an operation near the coastal coast of the beach, they began a chase against several individuals, who managed to evade the siege and enter a wooded area of the area.
Subsequently, they noted that through a search of the entire area, they found seven nylon bags, where they occupied 232 packages, which then analyzed by the National Institute of Forensic Sciences, determined that the substance is cocaine and that they had a weight of 240.08 kilograms.
Beyond the confiscated drug, authorities failed to capture the men who are allegedly involved in the case.
They added that at the site where the drug was confiscated, several bottles full of fuel were also found.
