They dismiss the complaint against the National District Prosecutor filed by Argenis Contreras

The Office of the Attorney General of the National District Court dismissed a lawsuit filed against the National District Attorney, Rosalba Ramos Castillo, by Argenis Contreras, principal involved in the death of lawyer Yuniol Ramirez, for allegedly hide evidence in the process that follows it and in the case of alleged act of corruption in the Metropolitan Bus Services Office (OMSA).

The prosecutor of the Court, José de el Carme Sepúlveda, took the decision to declare inadmissible the complaint filed by the defendant, considering that at the time of the presentation of the application the prosecutor was disenfranchised of the case OMSA.

The prosecutor of the Court also took as a basis to dismiss the complaint filed through the lawyer Plutarc Jaquez, considering that it does not have sufficient merits to proceed against the prosecutor Ramos Castell and the captain of the Police Carlos Enrique Gómez Mejía, in charge of the Investigation Division of Complex Case Crimes.

Sepúlveda in one of the recitals established that, at the time of the judge of the Chamber Court of Instruction of the National District, to order the appraisal to the telephones of Manuel Rivas (ex- director of the OMSA) and the industralist Eddy Santana and Colonel Faustino Díaz, prosecutor Rosalba Ramos was dispossessed of the case in question.

He argued that on August 31, 2020, the National District Attorney referred to the Attorney General of the Republic all the files for corruption cases that were in his office, including the OMSA case, the denounced is Manuel Rivas, Faustino Díaz and you share, this being the prosecution and consequently its holder dispossessed of the file that motivates the alleged complaint.

According to the lawsuit filed, prosecutor Ramos had committed a criminal offense by disobeying a court order ordering him two months ago to carry out appraisals on the cell phones of three people involved in the alleged corruption in the Metropolitan Office of Bus Services (OMSA), which allegedly led to the assassination of Yuniol.
