The members of the music duo Bona Fe received this Wednesday the replica of the machete of generalism Màxim Gómez, a recognition granted by the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (MINFAR).
The holder of this portfolio, Army Corps General Álvaro López Miera, presented the distinction in a ceremony held in the Granma room of MINFAR to Israel Rojas and Yoel Martínez, who join the group of artists, intel Students, journalists and cultural institutions deserving of this recognition.
This body thus distinguishes those who highlight in their work the most genuine patriotic, revolutionary and internationalist values of the Cuban people, said a report by national television.
In statements to this medium, Rojas described it as a high honor to receive this award which, he stated, he will strive to always deserve and win every day.
We will continue to be people of our time and we will make songs that accompany the life of the Cuban in his lights and in his shadows, committed to the present and the future of country, added the leader of the group.
Also, the artist expressed condolences for the death today of the famous Cuban musician, Adalberto Alvarez, the Knight of the Son, victim of the Covid-19.
