The Ministry of Industry, Trade and SMEs (MICM) reported that the prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), petrol and diesel, optimal and regular, as well as other fuels, will remain unchanged. for the week of 21-27 August 2021.
LPG will continue to sell for RD $ 127.10 per gallon; premium gasoline at RD $ 261.80; the regular one at RD $ 243.30; regular diesel at RD $ 188.90; and the optimum at RD $ 212.20. Natural gas will remain at RD $ 28.97 per cubic meter; the gallon of avtur will cost RD $ 161.90; the kerosene RD $ 185.70; the fuel oil # 6 RD $ 136.70 and the fuel oil 1% S RD $ 153.62.
“The Government’s willingness not to transfer the hikes to consumers to avoid affecting the Dominican economy will cause it to make an economic commitment to importers of approximately RD $ 330.6 million alone this week,” said Industry and Trade .
The average weekly exchange rate is RD $ 57.15 of the Central Bank’s daily publications, the MICM note states.
