The Commissioner of Police, Henry Escala, Ordered an investigation into an incident in which the director of the Carolina Criminal Investigation Center was recorded while demanding preferential treatment at a mall.
The video shows the official arguing with the employee of a store because the latter told him that he could not park in a space painted red and then the director began to highlight his job position in an intimidating tone .

“I immediately became aware of the situation and after watching the video shared on social media, I ordered the Auxiliary Superintendency in Professional Responsibility to conduct an administrative investigation as a matter of urgency,” Escala said in written statements.
“Behaviors such as those seen in these images are intolerable and unacceptable. Such action does not represent the commitment, dedication and good name of the responsible men and women who make up the Police Negotiation,” he added.
Likewise, the leader of the Uniformada has emphasized that the Police is currently in a process of reform to prevent this type of abuse of power and assured that these conducts “pay nothing to continue advancing in this process”.
