They plead guilty to drug-related extradition to the United States

For aggravated drug trafficking, a court with national jurisdiction found seven men linked to the criminal structure of Honduran drug trafficker Bayron Ruiz Ruiz guilty, who is being held in United States.

The defendants Armando Antonio Figueroa García, Guillermo Josuè Delgado Cálix, Óscar Alberto Ruiz Ruiz, Gumercindo Alonzo Ruiz Guifarro, Luis Alberto Ponce Rius, Elvin Alonzo Santos and Franklyn Adalberto Canales Cruz faced a trial in which the Prosecutor’s Office present evidence against him.

The subjects were captured on January 5, 2018 in La Ceiba when they were driving in several vehicles and had their money and firearms confiscated.

The prosecution brought the seven defendants to trial drug trafficking aggravated and managed to prove his involvement in these illicit actions. According to the prosecution, the gang operated on Thank God, Atlantis, Courtesy and Columbus with drug trafficker Bayron Ruiz Ruiz, who was captured in Guatemala and extradited to the United States. In Operation Gideon III, in April 2019, they executed home violations at 24 points in the departments of Columbus and Atlantis and secured property.

The convicts brought drugs to Honduras by sea.
