They postpone again a measure of coercion against former player Joan Encarnació

Santo Domingo, RD.

The Court of Permanent Attention of the National District again postponed the knowledge of the measure of coercion to the ex- pelotero of Great Leagues Joan Encarnación Santiago, that is accused to incur in sexual aggression against a minor daughter.

Judge Francisco Consoró set the knowledge of the measure for next Thursday, September 9.

The decision was taken in order to allow the defense to listen to the audio of the interview with the victim with his face protected, according to the lawyer Cándido Simó, who represents the mother of the minor.

The National District Attorney’s Office is seeking pretrial detention, considering that the defendant does not offer bail to submit to the trial.

The expelotero has been detained in the National District Courthouse pretrial detention facility since last weekend.
