A witness presented the Prosecutor’s Office during the initial hearing held last night against the mayor of Roatan, Jerry hynds, Accused of drug trafficking.
The appearance before the judge with national jurisdiction began at 10:00 am at Fort General Cabanyes.
Prosecutors against the Organized crime they formalized the accusation against the mayor Jerry hynds noting that on August 27 he was driving in his double-cab vehicle guarding a shipment of cocaine.
The drug was going in a red and white cistern when it was intercepted by elements of the Technical Agency for Criminal Investigation (Attic).
In the same area the vehicle in which the mayor was going was stopped the same as the occupant of a Toyota Prado van.
Tank driver Jorge Reiniery Rosales Bustillo and his companion Francisco Federico Henríquez Gómez were also charged with aggravated drug trafficking.
The driver of the Prat Efraïm Sants Córdoba van, which was also on the same road as the cistern, is facing the accusation in the same way.
During the hearing the Prosecutor’s Office present the acts of confiscation of the way and a witness who would recount the details of the cocaine shipment seizure operation.
