TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras.- Under high security measures it was introduced this Sunday Martín Adolfo Díaz Contreras, One of the Hondurans requested for extradition by the justice of the United States.
A contingent of the Honduran Special Forces captured Diaz Contreras on Saturday in Gracia, Lempira, west of the country, at the request of a US request, who accuses him of drug trafficking.

The detainee will be transferred this Sunday to the courts of justice, where the first extradition hearing will be held by the natural judge appointed by the Supreme Court of Justice.

The Bilateral Extradition Treaty signed between the United States and Honduras has allowed more than 20 Honduran citizens to be imprisoned in different prisons in the North American nation.
These bilateral relations between the states have allowed Honduras also to have the right to request the extradition of compatriots who have been captured in other countries, for committing crimes on Honduran soil and who have pending sentences with justice.
For the case, at present the State of Honduras has requested the extradition of six Honduran citizens, arrested in Spain, Colombia, Mexico and the United States.
