The successful subject Homeland and Life, Which since its release in February has accumulated almost five million views on YouTube, has just had its first urban version, from the hands of the Cuban singer, songwriter and producer known by his stage name An1mala.
In this new version in cubatón and distribution, An1mala maintained the participation of the original artists, – Yotuel Romero, People of Zone, Descemer Well, Maykel Osorbo and the funky – and included a fragment hers, that it described like his grain of sand to the cause for the freedom of Cuba.
The version was released with a video clip that also interweaves images of the production of Asiel Babastro with other images of Cuba, the patriotic symbols, Antonio Maceo, José Martí and Cubans holding a poster of Homeland and Life or with the phrase written in his bodies.
“I ask for freedom, for my land and all my people, and the blood is hot and the mambi we carry inside is waking up and screaming present. An1mala explained that he wanted to make a version even closer to the young Cubans on the island, who consume much more cubatón and where the cast is occupying an important place among musical preferences.
