
Thierry Henry has made the decision to leave his job as coach of CF Montreal, after just over a year in the living room, for family reasons.
After arriving at the MLS club in November 2019, he took them to the playoffs and quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Champions League.
“It’s with a heavy heart that I decided to make that decision,” Henry he said in a club statement. “The last year has been extremely difficult for me personally.
“Because of the global pandemic, I couldn’t see my children. Unfortunately, because of the ongoing restrictions and the fact that we’ll have to move back to the United States for several months, it won’t be any different.
“Separation is too difficult for me and my children. So it is with great sadness that I have to make the decision to go back to London and leave. CF Montreal. “
