Things you can do with the new Executive Order starting today

Today begins the 30 days of validity of the new Executive Order signed by Governor Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia in relation to VOCID-19. The measures that were announced on Tuesday ease some restrictions that had been in effect throughout December.

Curfew

Pierluisi extended the time in which citizens can move freely on the streets. As of today, the curfew is in effect from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In addition, there will be no ‘lockdown’ or full closure on Sundays, so the curfew will be applicable just like on weekdays and businesses will be able to open according to the rules that also apply on other days.

Beaches, marinas and spas

Bodies of water such as beaches, rivers, marinas, spas and others, may be used by bathers during the established hours.

The consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in any of these places, and people will not be able to socialize where others do not belong to their family unit.

Groups should keep 10 feet apart.

Masks should be worn while bathers are out of the water.

The use of beach chairs, parasols and refrigerators will be permitted.

On boats or boats that are used for recreational purposes, they cannot be occupied by people outside the family nucleus.

shops

It will be able to operate at 30% capacity, as long as they comply with the physical distance protocol and, if it cannot comply, the business will have to reduce its capacity.

As a result of the change in curfew, shops will be able to remain open until 10:00 pm every day.

Sports and recreational activities

There was no change in these provisions. All sports must be done outside the curfew hours and only by exercising individually, without physical contact.

Religious events

They will be allowed seven days a week at the time agreed in the curfew and with a maximum occupancy of 30%.

Discos, bars and small boats

Game rooms, theaters, bars, nightclubs, concert halls, leisure centers or any similar are still closed 24 hours a day.

government operations

They will continue to perform functions and provide services.

The other provisions continued as established in the previous Orders. This includes isolation orders upon contact with a positive COVID for 14 days or for a minimum of 10 days of confinement if infected.

The governor assured that he would evaluate the data and statistics in the next two weeks to decide whether to amend this Executive Order or leave it in force for the stipulated 30 days.
