Uh, so if you thought using 78 x GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards to exploit cryptocurrency was crazy: now crypto miners are taking GeForce RTX 30 series gaming laptops and mining cryptography with them. These laptops for RTX 3060 games are manufactured 20 times $ 74,000 a year…

We all know how impossible it is to buy graphics cards right now, so some Chinese crypto miners buy NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series video game laptops and use them to extract cryptography. Weibo blogger named TC 鱼 BTCe has shared images on his social media, showing the GeForce RTX 30 series gaming laptops all stacked up.
You can see in the pictures, both above and below, all the new laptops in the GeForce RTX 30 series with GeForce RTX 3060 graphics cards, from the Chinese company OEM Hasee.

Laptops cost just over $ 1,000 each, so 20F GeForce RTX 3060 series gaming laptops would cost about $ 20,000. If you had the power cheap enough, it would be a great investment given the time when the prices of cryptocurrencies, and in particular Ethereum, are spreading.
Our TechARP friends have figured out what a GeForce RTX 3060 laptop should do with ETH mining:
- 0.000265045 ETH per hour
- 0.00636108 ETH per day
- 0.1908324 ETH per month (30 days)
- 2.3217942 ETH per year
This means that if you had 20 laptops with GeForce RTX 3060 graphics inside, you’re seeing a lot:
- $ 8,908 per hour
- $ 213.80 a day
- $ 6,413.87 per month (30 days)
- $78,035 per year
At this rate, you’ll actually pay for the investment in the laptops ($ 20,000) within 4 months (if ETH prices remain the same). The electricity rate in China is about 0.545 RMB, or about 0.084 US dollars, per kWh. Each laptop should use an average of about 250W of power, which adds up to $ 3679 more a year.
With that in mind, 20 x GeForce RTX 3060 gaming laptops earn $ 6400 a month and $ 74,000 a year more. Pretty amazing!
