The arguments in the video are accompanied dramatic music and the famous “Objection!” slogan. The results are entertaining, hilarious, and honestly sometimes do not do itsense. There are, of course, some that it provokes a horrible “Oh God,” when you see what people are arguing about.

In an interview with Mashable, Price said he had the idea for other videos based on game memes on YouTube.

“Dramatic music is fantastic,” Price told the newsroom, “especially for Reddit’s melodramatic debates.”

According to the video about the Price bot posted on YouTube, the bot searches for the most common users in the comment string and then repeats all comments in its string. A neuronal net then pit happens to check if the tone of the comment is negative or positive. If the comment is considered negative, it will cause an “object”. In the meantime, a comment that is considered positive would provoke a happy expression. The bot, which takes about 10 minutes to respond, will make a video based on the comments and send it to the user on a link on Reddit.

However, there is a problem: the subreddit you publish must be in the bot’s list of supported subreddits, which you can see here. If the preferred subreddit to discuss is not listed, Price takes suggestions on which ones to add.

The robot took about three days to make, Price dit, adding that he used Python, as well as computer vision libraries and machine learning in development. It is open source and can be found at GitHub. Shortly after its release, the robot was “uber buggy,” he said. In fact, according to the bot’s user page, u / objection-bot, broke for a couple of hours when Price went to sleep. But he fixed it later and the bot reports that is, “back and forth for now.”
