The Mexican artist glory Trevi he broke the silence during his visit to Madrid and talked a bit about his life in prison and how he got back into the music industry after being in prison for over 4 years.
According to an interview for the program Espejo Público, the artist recalled some of the most difficult years of his career and revealed what the real reason was for not thinking about returning to the music industry.
What was the real reason?
Gloria Trevi’s ex-singer published a book called “Glory for Hell”, Where he claimed that Sergio Andrade, Mary Boquitas and the interpreter of “Dr. Psychiatrist” were involved in several cases of child abuse and abduction.
In the face of this, the Mexican singer was investigated along with his colleagues in 2000 and were later arrested in Rio de Janeiro, where two years later they were extradited to Mexico.
After remaining almost 5 years in prison, the singer was released and was acquitted of all charges. However, his image was tarnished forever and the scandal affected his career.
For this reason, the celebrity thought hard about returning to the music industry, but eventually decided to return with her album “How the Universe Is Born”, which was released in 2004.
How did you overcome the scandal?
The 53-year-old artist confessed that after this difficult situation he had to get up and give his best face, he also revealed that the LGBT + community he supported her a lot when he released his first album.
He also added that she will always be grateful to all those people who shook her hand when he needed it most, as they were very supportive of restarting his musical career.
Finally, he added that she was able to get out of jail because she was able to pay for it, but she said many innocent people cannot do it and to get out.
