Even if the remaster didn’t happen! Even if the remastering somehow doesn’t have a real end due to a weird accident. People will always try to recapture the original classic, as it was a JRPG formed for many people. I like Chrono Trigger before, it was one of the biggest “gateway JRPGs” in history.
That’s why there are so many possible modders who are playing it, even now. Take this Satsuki Yatoshi Mod, for example. Called “the most accurate modern version of the PC version,” this mod suit uses deep learning AI techniques to do just fine.
The modification is presented as a “cleaner and more detailed” version than the previous “HD modifications”, which increase the game with AI. Interestingly, they don’t want to be “too outdated”. No: they seek not to have a “sharp or excessive effect,” so that it feels constant and faithful to the original.
