Google Keep is one of the most useful applications in the Google ecosystem. I personally use it a lot, as the ability to take quick notes on the phone and access it from any device is very convenient. And now, it’s even better, as it joins the list of apps that will use Material You. Prior to the upcoming release of Android 12, Google has been working on updates to most of its apps to make them adhere to Material You and its changes to the user interface, as well as its main dynamic theme feature, and Google Keep joins this list.

Changes are immediately clear when you place them next to the current version. The search bar is now pill-shaped, the floating action button is now a rounded square, and most importantly, the colors will change with the wallpaper color palette. This is the standard treatment that other applications with Material You redesigns have received so far. The new version of Google Keep will apparently not be functionally different, with a lighter makeover compared to other more radical redesigns we’ve seen.

According to the Google Workspace blog, the update will begin to be implemented for users on September 21 with application version 5.21361. Don’t expect too much from those who like what they see.
