People who received the COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by Pfizer will likely need a third dose in 12 months, according to the company’s CEO, Albert Bourla.
In an interview with CNBC that was recorded on April 1 but published today, Thursday, the employer said that perhaps the population should be vaccinated annually against coronavirus.
“It is extremely important to suppress the number of people who are susceptible to viruses,” Bourla explained during his interview.

It should be noted that, given that clinical trials began just over a year ago, it is not yet known how long this or other vaccines manufactured by BioNTech and Johnson & Johnson will be.
Earlier this month, Pfizer said the VOCID-19 vaccine is 91% effective and 95% effective against more serious illnesses six months after the second dose.
In February, both Pfizer and BioNTech reported that they are testing a third dose of their vaccine to better understand the immune response against other virus variants.
