Three adults and a 1-year-old baby were killed in the city of Celaya, Located in the state of Guanajuato, center of Mexico, Local authorities reported this Saturday.
This is the third massacre which is recorded so far this year in the central Mexican entity.
The events took place this Saturday morning, when agents of the National Guard observed a house set on fire in the Private subdivision of El Pedregal.
Agents of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office local, who on entering the home consumed by the flames, first saw the body of a man.
Later, in one of the rooms, among the rubble, they found the body of the baby, while in the backyard were found two bodies, one of a man and the other of a woman, both with injuries to firearm and burns.
Just last Thursday, in the same municipality, nine people were shot dead inside a home where a vigil was being held.
And at the start of the week, on January 4, five people were shot dead in an apartment in the municipality of León, the largest in the state.
With that, 18 people were killed in the first three massacres in Guanajuato, an entity that since 2018 is the most violent in Mexico.
The explanation given by the authorities in the face of the incessant increase of homicide malicious is that these, for the most part, are linked to disputes inherent in organized crime.
