Although there has been a slight increase in people interested in getting vaccinated against coronavirus, COVID-19, there are currently three hospitals in Puerto Rico that are not accepting virus patients.
There are currently about 458 hospitalized people on the island, of whom 417 are adults and 41 minors.
“Right now I am aware of three hospitals,” Health Department Secretary Carlos Mellado said at a news conference when asked if there were any hospital institutions with their COVID areas in place.
At the same conference, the Health official advanced that the agency is investigating the use of a drug not authorized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat COVID.
We recommend:
“The FDA does not approve it for use of VOCID. We are investigating some cases where we know that doctors have sent the drug ivermectin, which has no label (ad) for COVID, number one. Number two, is a drug that is liver toxic. , is a drug that has further complications and has a specific use, so be careful to use this drug to go against vaccination, “said the Health official.
In the same space, Mellado invited country health workers not to refuse to care for patients so as not to be vaccinated.
