Tim McGraw and Tyler Hubbard will bring ‘Undivided’ to Biden Opening

Tim McGraw and Tyler Hubbard presented their message of unity on American television on Wednesday night (January 20). The couple performed “Undivided” during Celebrating America, a 90-minute special with a crowd of celebrities eager to celebrate the inauguration of President Joe Biden.

Tom Hanks hosted a special that also featured performances by Justin Timberlake, Jon Bon Jovi and Demi Lovato. “Undivided” was written by Hubbard, half of the country’s Florida Georgia Line duo. She wrote the song on her tour bus as she sat on her sidewalk, quarantined away from her family while fighting COVID-19 last fall. Speaking a CBS This morning, Hubbard said he had in mind the previous twelve months at the time of writing the song.

“I didn’t think we might need it more than last year, but apparently we still do,” Hubbard remarked. Find the song in the next deluxe version of McGraw Here on Earth disc, which is expected this spring.

The two men gathered from the cold of Nashville on the east side of the Cumberland River, with familiar Music City skyscrapers flanking them as they talked – and then performed a song they both say is a kind of mirror of divisive times. “Indivis” echoes the message of the day, which both men acknowledged during a brief introduction.

“This song is a message of togetherness and faith and it moved my soul,” McGraw shared, with Hubbard on his right and most of his band around him for the nightly performance.

“I think it’s time to get together / You and I can make a change / Maybe we can make a difference / Make the world a better place / Look around and love someone / We’ve been hateful enough / May the good Lord meet us / Until this country we love is undivided “.

Earlier in the day, Garth Brooks performed during the inauguration of President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, joining a list of artists including Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga, singing the national anthem at the swearing-in ceremony.
