Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse fined $ 50,000 for throwing mask into bleachers, blasphemy

TAMPA, Florida – The NBA has fined Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse $ 50,000 for throwing his mask behind the goal scorer’s table and into the stands, as well as desecrating the Game officers before leaving the floor at the end of a Friday night game.

The league announced good Sunday.

Nurse was upset at the end of Toronto’s 115-112 loss to the Utah Jazz, a game in which the Jazz made 41 free throws, compared to the Raptors’ 14th.

After the match, Nurse said “it didn’t look like they were going to let us win tonight” without offering details. The 27-shot difference in free-throw attempts between teams was the second-highest in the NBA this season, surpassed by Houston’s 28-shot difference over Golden State on Wednesday.

On Sunday, the Raptors threw 4.5 free throws per game less than their opponents this season, the second-largest disparity in the league. Chicago catches 5.0 less per game than their opponents.
