CNN is monitoring the election college process in real time, filling in the ballots below as they unfold on December 14th. Voters are expected to hold their meetings on the East Coast from 10 a.m. ET and in Hawaii until 7 p.m. Most states have votes in their state capital.

The formula for the electorate is as follows: Representatives and Senators. Smaller states like Vermont and Wyoming have three electoral votes, although Washington D.C. has no representation in Congress.

There are many more in the largest states. For example, there are 55 in California, 38 in Texas, and 29 in both New York and Florida.

Voter slats are selected by campaigns or parties in each state, and the slate associated with the winning candidate for that state in the November 3 general election is voted on.
