Former Giants receiver Travis Rudolph is being held without bail in Florida after being arrested and charged with first-degree murder with a firearm and attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, he announced. Palm Beach County Sherriff’s Office
Rudolph, 25, was arrested Wednesday morning after a double shooting in Palm Beach County that left one man dead and another injured and taken to a nearby hospital. The sheriff’s office said Rudolph is also being charged with shooting two other people who were not injured. His first court appearance will be on Thursday.
After going unwritten in 2017, Rudolph signed with the Giants and played in seven regular-season games, earning eight receptions for 101 yards. He was resigned in September 2018 and was later picked up by the Dolphins. On his first day of training, Rudolph broke his ACL.
Rudolph went viral in 2016 while at Florida State, when he was eating lunch and befriended a sixth-grader with autism.
