Treasury Secretary Francisco Parés Alicea confirmed tonight that the Department will continue managing to pay the $ 600 incentive check between this and next week.
“At the moment we have already disbursed about $ 1.444 trillion to about 1.7 million families participating in the $ 600 program,” the secretary wrote on social media.
Parés Alicea confirmed that 119,000 checks began to be sent this week, figures that are included in this estimate.
Treasury has previously stated that about 2.8 million families would benefit from the $ 600 dollars, and that about 200,000 people would be paid daily.
