Care professional Nicki Minaj regained what came next Monday when she tried to explain her absence from the Met Gala, questioning the COVID vaccines needed to attend the event. How The root reported Tuesday, as part of her excuse, rapper “Anaconda” claimed her cousin in Trinidad knew someone who became helpless as a result of the vaccine. “Her testicles swelled” he tweeted, claiming that the man’s promise canceled his next wedding as a result.
(I mean, this is also a symptom of undiagnosed chlamydia, gonorrhea, testicular cancer, and congestive heart failure (and it looks like the house girl just thought so), but hey, I guess.)
In any case, Minaj’s claim was not just put Twitter in a tizzy but he also brought the Trinidad and Tobago health department into the case as they tried to confirm his claims. After touring the islands and finding no case of swollen testicles, at least not as a side effect of the vaccine, the country’s health minister was forced to make a press conference refuting Minaj’s misinformation, basically telling him to take ten for wasting everyone’s time. (Okay, she didn’t say “grab ten,” but indirectly scolded her for spending time and government resources on her mess).
“One of the reasons we were unable to respond to Ms. Minaj in real time yesterday is that we had to check and make sure that what she was saying was true or false,” explained Dr Terrence Deyalsingh, Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Health. Yes, Deyalsingh (presumably pronounced “everyone sings”) is his real name, yes, he really is the Minister of Health of Trinidad and Tobago, and yes, even he apparently had trouble getting through this absolutely absurd discussion without laughing.

“Unfortunately, we wasted so much time yesterday in dismissing this false statement,” he continued, “and as far as we know, at this time, no side effects or adverse events have been reported. And what was sad about that. is that yesterday we wasted our time, trying to locate it [the claim]—Because we take all these statements seriously, whether on social media or in conventional media.
“It simply came to our notice then absolutely no side effects or adverse events of testicular swelling were reported in Trinity or Trinity. * consultation with another doctor at the press conference *… none that we know anywhere else in the world, “he concluded.
So here you have it. Nicki Minaj is severely uninformed (or just lying), the COVID vaccine will no give you scrotal elephantiasisand, if you have any swelling on the landing gear, consult a doctor because it is likely to be something else that can be transmitted.
