Both Dr. Anthony Fauci and the Minister of Health of Trinidad and Tobago have weighed heavily that infamous tweet from Nicki Minaj. And it’s not good for Minaj’s cousin story.
On Monday, the singer tweeted about the requirement of Met Gala that attendees should be vaccinated against COVID to attend. He then shared a really weird personal anecdote that went viral instantly, for obvious reasons.
“My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine because his friend got it and he became powerless.” Minaj tweeted. “Her testicles swelled. Her friend was just weeks away from getting married, now the girl has canceled the wedding.”
My cousin in Trinidad will not get the vaccine because his friend got it and became helpless. His testicles swelled. Her friend was a few weeks away from getting married, now the girl has canceled the wedding. Just pray for it and make sure you are comfortable with your decision, without being intimidated

But whether or not Minaj’s cousin’s friend told this story, he did not develop impotence when he received the coronavirus vaccine. Vaccines do not cause impotence, although getting the coronavirus can.
First, Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden, told Jake Tapper on CNN that vaccines do not cause “any reproductive problems” in recipients. .
“The answer to that, Jake, is a resounding‘ no, ’” Fauci said.

Later, the Minister of Health of Trinidad and Tobago, Dra. Terrence Deyalsingh, spoke wearily publicly about how the country investigated Minaj’s cousin’s claim and considered it false.
“Unfortunately, we wasted so much time yesterday on this false statement,” Deyalsingh said in a video shared on Twitter on Wednesday. “As we are now, there are absolutely no side effects or adverse events like testicular swelling in Trinity or, dare I say it … anywhere else in the world.”
Minaj herself has been constantly tweeting since the famous tweet.
A tweet he sent on Tuesday said, “Omfg. My # cousin who has #TheFriend just texted me to tell me to call him. * Bite your nails * Ugh! You idiots !! !! I assumed it was a secret. If either of you asked me, I didn’t know. Okay? Look at the text @ “.
Omfg. My # cosí who has # The friend he just texted me to tell me to call him. * Bites your nails * Ugh! Stupid !!! If you saw this in the news it’s your fault !!! It was supposed to be a secret.
If any of them ask me, I didn’t know. Okay?

And after talk show host Jimmy Kimmel said on her show that she wanted to interview Minaj’s cousin’s friend, she responded positively.
“He’s willing to talk for the right price,” Minaj tweeted. “I’m your manager. Call me, Jimmy.”
