Trump calls for “common sense” from Democratic leaders

U.S. President Donald Trump called on Saturday for Democratic leaders to have “common sense” about the emergency closures they have implemented.

Trump claimed via Twitter that “lockdowns” are ruining the lives of many people, even that “they are doing more harm than the coronavirus would do.”

The president noted that in California COVID-19 cases have increased with an emergency shutdown, while in Florida those that have not implemented it are under control.
