President Donald Trump is already considering replacing Attorney General William Barr’s deputy Jeffrey Rosen, the Associated Press reports. The president wants to appoint a special attorney to investigate the finances of President-elect Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, and has reportedly spoken with White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and White House counsel. Pat Cipollone. If Rosen is unwilling to appoint such a special lawyer, White House staff members say Trump can replace Rosen. Trump became publicly enraged when it was reported that Barr was working to keep an ongoing investigation into Hunter Biden out of Delaware, in line with Justice Department policy. Barr announced he would leave office before Christmas.
