Trump says he will visit Ground Zero on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks

Former President Donald Trump said he will visit Ground Zero on Saturday to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The 45th president revealed he would travel to Manhattan in an interview with Fox News Friday.

Trump had had firm words about whether he would commemorate the tragedy. On Thursday, the New Jersey Globe reported that the former president will visit Ground Zero in the early hours of Saturday afternoon, following the conclusion of the formal ceremony at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.

Trump is not expected to cross paths with President Biden. President and First Lady Jill Biden is scheduled to attend the start of the 8:30 a.m. ceremony before leaving New York around 10 a.m. to participate in the observances in Shanksville, Pa. Pentagon.

Trump has garnered criticism in Biden in recent weeks for the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan and the chaotic withdrawal of U.S. forces from the country after 20 years of war, precipitated by the events of 9/11.

“It’s very depressing,” Trump told Fox News Friday about his feelings on the anniversary. “It was supposed to be a day of victory. Now is a day of shame. How do you have that? ”

“I think Biden was in a hurry [the Afghan pullout] to try to get the victory, “the former president added,” and now he looks like a fool. “

After his visit to New York, the former president will have to head to Florida, where he and his son Donald Trump Jr. will provide an alternative commentary for an eight-round boxing show between former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield and the UFC light heavyweight champion. Vitor Belfort.
