Trump’s attorney, David Schoen, blasted an indictment video

A lawyer for the removal of former President Donald Trump attacked the video evidence presented by Democrats on Tuesday, which he claimed was probably made by a large film company to deceive the American public.

“It’s very easy to get up and show spliced and fabricated movies,” David Schoen told Fox News ’Sean Hannity Tuesday night.

Schoen was referring to a lengthy video montage shown by House Speaker Jamie Raskin on the first day of the Senate arguments in Trump’s second impeachment trial.

The 14-minute production combined snippets of Trump’s speech and images of his followers, as well as images of the deadly riot.

“Literally, the Democrats, the administrators of the House, probably hired a big film company and a big law firm to put this thing together,” Schoen told Hannity.

Trump’s January 6 speech is at the heart of the Democrats ’dismissal case, as they will claim he fired his supporters for marching on the Capitol in an effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

Schoen said the video was intended to deceive the American people by making it appear as if the two events were happening simultaneously.

“Why do we want to deceive the American people? And listen, they have great entertainment value. People are hooked on a film that has been made professionally like this, ”he said.

Without naming him, Hannity also questioned Schoen about the initial “untimely” and “slightly meandering” statements of Trump’s fellow lawyer Bruce Castor, noting that his statements have faced strong criticism from Democrats and conservatives.

Schoen defended Castor and said he had no plans to present him today.

“I’m sure they’ll be very well prepared in the future and will do a great job in the case,” Schoen said of Castor and his law firm.
