When it comes to their remasters, Square Enix hasn’t given them much physical love for Switch. Final Fantasy VII / VIII it was an exception, however SaGA Frontier i Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles they are currently only digital. Unless you plan to import this new collector’s edition, Legend of Mana it seems to be going the same way.
Announced last week at the Nintendo Direct launch, Legend of Mana was first released in 1999 on PS1, marking the fourth major entry after Mana tests. Remastered as part of Mana’s 30th anniversary celebrations, Square Enix has also confirmed an exclusive collection edition for Japan.
It includes the game, the art book, the stuffed Li’l Catcus and an official soundtrack, which will cost .3 14,300. Currently, it is also the only way to get the Mana legend physically. Within this list, Square Enix states that “this game package is not expected to be sold separately.” This edition is also not confirmed for a western version. Boo.
Released on June 24, we expect Square Enix to make it more widely available. It’s a shame if they don’t, but JRPG fans, on the other hand, have a lot to look forward to.
