TSE will give the final report of the 2021 elections this Friday

The TSE announced the official results, 4 days after postponing the closing of the final scrutiny for New Ideas claims.

The Supreme Electoral Court presented this Friday the final report of the results of the 2021 elections in which the representatives in the Parliament, Legislative Assembly and municipal councils for the period 2021-2024 were elected.

“We can rightly say that thanks to technology we were able to provide timely and accurate results, the trend did not change in terms of election results obtained in the final ballot,” said TSE President Dora Esmeralda Martinez de Barahona.

In addition, it was reported that the final scrutiny act and the decree of firm declaration will be published as ordered by the Electoral Code.

The declaration came four days after it was suspended due to claims by the New Ideas party which pointed to the electoral body for allegedly removing 83 councilors from distribution by municipal councils.

The presiding magistrate, Dora Martínez, pointed out at the time that New Ideas submitted a request for review in the allocation of seats in the municipal councils and that this request had to be resolved.
