Tuesday’s spacewalk is postponed due to “minor medical problem”

The agency said the problem related to Vande Hei is not a medical emergency.

The spacewalk, originally scheduled for Aug. 24, will be rescheduled. The agency does not consider the spacewalk, intended to install new supports to help add new solar arrays, to be time-sensitive.

The onboard crew, which includes NASA astronauts Shane Kimbrough and Megan McArthur and European Space Agency astronaut Thomas Pesquet, continues their day-to-day work at the station and helps carry out the hundreds of ‘experiments on board.

The spacewalk will be rescheduled after the launch of the SpaceX CRS-23 cargo supply this weekend and the next two Russian spacewalks to take place on September 2nd and 8th.
