The Chicago Bears signed veteran Andy Dalton for a one-year deal with $ 10 million in free agency, but the quarterback remains a hot topic around the team.
Rumors about Russell Wilson have been the strongest and now there is another quarterback who is ready for the commercial market. After the Carolina Panthers switched to Sam Darnold, this leaves Teddy Bridgewater ripe for the prey. And, for many people, the simplest assumption was that bears were a landing site.
Naturally, a popular point of discussion was the possibility of Chicago crashing down Bridgewater, which had divided fans. Some believe Bridgewater would be an instant update on Dalton or Nick Foles. Others believe Bridgewater is a precautionary tale, especially for someone who reportedly turned down an offer with the Bears last season because he didn’t want to compete with Mitchell Trubisky.
My only feature of the Darnold trade is that it values more than Teddy Bridgewater is not the solution. I know Foles didn’t get out of fear, but thank God, the Bears didn’t get it.

I will never understand Bear’s love affair with Teddy Bridgewater.
If a team passes you by after a SEASON, it means they don’t think you’re very good.
Not only did they move on, but they changed several selections of drafts to find another option to replace it.

In retrospect, I wonder if the Bears should have made a play for Bridgewater instead of Dalton.
I mean, a posteriori, it would be better a play for any other quarterback.

If the bears were smart, they would change Dalton and move to Bridgewater immediately. They both have health issues, but Teddy has a lot more advantages and makes the offense better than Dalton based on several factors. Do the trade !!!!!!!!! @ChicagoBears

I do not. I knew that Bridgewater, Foles, Cam, and so on. they weren’t the answer last season and I’m here to tell you that Dalton isn’t the answer either. So don’t have amnesia and start believing that it can play well for you #Bears next season, because it won’t happen. https://t.co/WBzKh0qqYW

Teddy Bridgewater is better QB than Denver, Bears or Patriots. #NFL

Also, Teddy Bridgewater before Bears fans do, is no answer.
It is a below average QB with a below average arm.

So Teddy Bridgewater is now available? I’ll take it to the Bears !!
– Joe (@HugeBearsFan) April 5, 2021
I shouldn’t wait for the bears to catch Bridgewater, eh?

Carolina paid $ 45 million to Teddy Bridgewater, and now traded three picks for a QB that surpassed Joe Flacco. I’m not sure of the plan out there, but investing so much in QB for mediocrity is Bears-esque.

Foles, Dalton and Darnold…. I prefer to have Bridgewater and Mond on the Bears.

I get it, Teddy Bridgewater isn’t good, but the Saints should have tried to keep him or make the Bears overpay for him (the bone fans we hear only get to the qbs, it’s just one thing)

I wish the Bears had signed Teddy Bridgewater instead of Andy Dalton.
– Jack Russell (@JolietJack) April 5, 2021
Does this mean we can add Bridgewater to the Bears QB tests? 🤷🏾♂️

The bears should have tried to at least get Bridgewater, but it would be too smart
– Gen. J (@SaytheNano) April 5, 2021
Teddy Bridgewater to the Bears for a 6th
– another man (@MarkusTaffy) April 5, 2021
Remember when Bridgewater didn’t sign with the Bears because he “didn’t want to compete with Trubisky”
