The Chapter House of the City Council of Sant Diumenge Nord approved resolution 23-21 in which it declares tomorrow Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 April as days of municipal mourning for the death of the couple of young preachers at the hands of agents of the National Police in Villa Altagracia, Elisa Muñoz and Joel Díaz, who resided in the Costa Linda sector of Sabana Perdida.
The measure was adopted in an extraordinary session held last Friday virtually, and had the favorable vote of the 17 councilors who make up the Chapter House of the City Council of this demarcation.
A commission of councilors was appointed to visit the relatives of the young people and the regional director of the National Police, José Santana Morillo, was asked to place the flag at half-mast in all the detachments in the municipality. will do so at the premises of the local government, as a token of the performance of the resolution declaring two days of municipal mourning.
