According to a new survey, nearly half of top U.S. health care workers have not been vaccinated against COVID-19.
The report, released Friday by the Kaiser Family Foundation, found that only 52 percent of health care workers have received at least one dose of vaccine, even though they have been among the first eligible to receive treatment in most communities. .
Only 64 percent of respondents said they were confident in the safety and effectiveness of vaccines, and 48 percent have yet to get the puncture.
According to the survey, health workers were quoted as expressing a wide range of views on the vaccine, similar to meetings in the general public, which was made in conjunction with the Washington Post.
“I would quit smoking if the job told me I had to take it,” one of the responses quoted in the survey said.
“It’s the only way to get to the end of the pandemic,” another said.
The survey included interviews with 1,327 front-line health workers conducted in English and Spanish from February 11 to March 7. Front-line health workers were defined in the survey as those with direct contact with patients or body fluids.
