The Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM) and the state authorities agreed to temporarily withdraw 200 students located in different hospitals of the entity who, according to the institution, they are practiced in other areas and not in the Covid-19 zone.

According to information from the top Mexican study house, in a data update so far this year, it was reported that cases of infected resident doctors have already been reported with the new coronavirus; however, the number of college students who were in this situation was not specified and it was only commented that his condition was not serious.

The decision was made after what happened with a UNAM resident physician assigned to the General Hospital “Dr. José María Rodríguez” of Ecatepec which died as a result of complications from the disease produced by the SARS-Cov-2 virus and who allegedly reported it to hospital authorities.

In this regard, UNAM also decided to withdraw resident doctors until there are better conditions of protection and safety.

For its part, the Mexican government reported, through a press release, that a strangeness was sent to the director of the hospital and the head of the Division of Research and Education to violate the rights of inmates , and for not complying with the instructions given to Undergraduate Internal Medicine Doctors during the Pandemic Covid-19.

As for the UAEM resident doctors infected with the virus, none were serious, it was pointed out.

However, follow-up was provided during the illness so that his return to hospital units would be given once he was 100% recovered and not before.

The UAEM has 1,750 doctors living in various hospitals throughout Mexico.

It is worth remembering that, last year, in April, undergraduate students from various public universities in the republic, including the UAEM, were temporarily removed from their hospitals as a measure of protection and biosafety in the country. expose any risk to Covid.

At the time it was argued that they did not have the necessary equipment, nor the training in patient management.
