the Tigers of the UANL ‘They will release’ shield for the 2021 MX League Closing Tournament which starts this coming January 8, as the regiomontano team would have made official a ‘small’ fit in the logo by removing the seven stars of the championships obtained throughout its history.
According to the report of the journalist of Multimedia Sports; Willy González, the Tigers have already notified the MX League the change in his shield for the next tournament, following in the footsteps of the Chivas Rayadas de Guadalajara, a team that did the same in the last Opening 2020.

The same source said that this change is due to the fact that the Tigers are trying to follow the image concepts of the ‘Great Mexican Football’, recalling that neither Pumas nor Club America presume the titles won through these stars.
Of the 18 teams in the MX League, the only clubs that maintain this tradition are the Cruz Azul, Santos, León, Monterrey, Pachuca, Necaxa and Xolos.
Teams like America, Atlas, Pumas, Puebla, Toluca and Chivas have removed these ‘motifs’ on their shields.
The clubs that do not have stars but also league championships are San Luis, FC Juárez, Querétaro, Mazatlán FC.
