August is completely closed, and that means it’s time to start looking at the busy fall lineup. Starting in September, the end of the year is usually full of great games for PlayStation 5 and PS4. There’s also something for everyone: several sports games make their annual appearance, first-person shooters leave, and there’s one or two family titles to boot. We will analyze what will come on the shelves in September and October 2021.

NBA 2K22 – September 10th
The annual 2K Sports basketball simulation is back, as you might expect. This year’s game will be on PS5 and PS4 and brings several improvements both on and off the court. The action has been modified to delve deeper into the sport; the city will integrate with MyCareer and you can even explore other options for star players, such as a hip hop or fashion career. This year there are many changes, big and small, that should be another excellent simulator.
From the creators of Dishonored comes Deathloop, a first-person action game about a man trapped in a 24-hour loop. In order to escape, you will have to find and kill a selection of bad guys in a single cycle. Before you get to this point, you’ll use as many loops as you need to gather information, work the most efficient ways, and find smart solutions to make killing your targets as fast and easy as possible. It looks like a great fascinating puzzle and it will definitely be a fun time.

The Far Cry series is back, which shines again with a new setting, story and antagonist. Set in a fictional representation of Cuba, you will fight Anton Castillo and his oppressive methods. It’s another exotic open world to explore and will have all the explosive action you’d expect from the franchise. Powerful weapons, a variety of vehicles and animal companions will be able to see you in this action-packed adventure.
Battlefield has had some ups and downs lately, but it looks like this year’s entry will be a return to form. Battlefield 2042 takes the franchise to a near-future environment and, with no campaign for a player in sight, this is a signature multiplayer experience this time around. In addition to the usual modes you might expect, we also have Battlefield Portal, which allows users to create their own modes on favorite maps from past games, and Hazard Zone, a more intense cooperative experience. With battles of up to 128 players and plenty of post-launch support, this could be a real winner.
