Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
For thirty years, the United States Federation of Meat Exporters (USMEF) has been representing the best cattle producers, Packers, slaughterhouses (trailers), exporters, promoters and producers of grain, rural and farmer organizations, as well as U.S. agribusiness companies.
Under the US Meat label, its products are marketed in different countries around the world and the brand is recognized for its high quality. And now, Hondurans can enjoy the best meat in the United States that stands out for its softness, flavor, juiciness, palatability, color (cherry in the case of beef), consistency, nutrition, freshness, certainty of safety and quality.
In celebration of the Bicentennial, US Meat combines its quality and the tradition of Honduran cuisine with being the sponsor of the Bicentennial Typical Saucer competition of Diari LA PREMSA and El Heraldo which will begin on 13 September.
The success of US Meat products is based on the following:
• Strict rules are followed to select the best beef, pork and lamb.
• The products are vacuum packed to keep them fresh.
• During handling, the products maintain hygiene thanks to an oxygen-impermeable plastic film that protects them and prevents the development of bacteria.
• They guarantee the best taste thanks to the marmalade of their meat. This allows the intramuscular fat to melt and mix with its juices, highlighting its flavor and ensuring smoothness.
US Meat meat meets quality and aging standards, which ensures that the product being consumed is highly nutritious.
The meat contains: protein of high biological value that brings great benefits to the body, includes thiamine, vitamin B6 and B12, niacin, riboflavin, phosphorus, zinc, potassium, iron and magnesium. It provides energy, repairs muscles, renews cells, improves metabolism, provides essential amino acids that the body cannot produce and contains beneficial fatty acids, among others.
Handling chain
Quality begins with careful breeding of the animal from before its birth, this includes care from the womb, diet, grazing and fattening. In addition, sacrifice is made focused on preserving animal welfare to avoid, as far as possible, exposing it to stress or suffering.
U.S. beef, lamb, and pork are subject to rigorous inspection from on-farm production, slaughter, processing, packaging, transportation, and preservation of the product for human consumption.
The management chain follows the rigorous standards of:
• Pork Quality Assurance Program (PQA PLUS)
• United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)
• American Beef Quality Assurance Program (BQA)
sustainability
Sustainability and quality have been part of US Meat’s core goals, which is why the necessary modifications have been made to increase sustainability and decrease negative effects on the environment.
Among the practices that red meat producers in the United States have adopted to better manage resources, without this affecting the quality of meat and other products they offer, we can mention that they recycle water, use manure to fertilize the fields where the grains are sown that will feed the animals and from him they produce biogas that also is used in the farms, in addition they sow trees in their fields.
One thing that is certainly of vital importance is the elimination of animal abuse from their farms as any incident of harm, mistreatment or abuse is reported immediately as it is an unacceptable act.
Now Hondurans will be able to prepare their favorite dishes with US Meat, a product that, in addition to offering the best flavor, shares tradition, trust and the highest quality.
