This Saturday, around 2:45 pm, on a flight of the airline KLM, with route Beijing-Amsterdam-Bogota, arrived 958,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine.
This is one of two flights from Beijing, China, expected this weekend to bolster the National Vaccination Plan, which seeks to immunize more than 70 percent of Colombians against covid-19.
The disembarkation was made on the passenger platform and, subsequently, as dictated by the nationalization procedure, will be made in the cellar of the carrier DHL.
Doses of Chinese vaccine will be transferred to the cellar of the Ministry of Health in the Zona Franca, in Bogotá, where the process of admission to deep-freezers will begin.
Thus, 1,505,880 doses of this batch will be completed.
The second flight is expected for this Sunday around 9:00 p.m. In this one 547,880 more doses will arrive, On an Air France flight that meets the Beijing-Paris-Bogota route.
These doses are part of the trade agreement signed by Colombia for the acquisition of 2.5 million doses with which it hopes to immunize 1.25 million Colombians.
