Video catches NYPD policemen firing outside NYC church

Shocking video footage was shot of police shooting a frantic gunman outside a Upper Manhattan church on Sunday afternoon.

Steven Wilson posted this video on Facebook, where he and his family attended an outdoor Christmas choir concert at St. John the Divine Cathedral, which preceded the chaotic 3:45 p.m.

An unidentified 52-year-old suspect can be seen lying on the ground outside the church entrance after at least 13 shots were fired in the video clip.

“Kill me! Kill me! According to the scene, a man was seen walking towards the police from the top step of the church.

A policeman is seen running behind a pile of rubbish in front of the church, where he repeatedly begs the man to take the ducks, the target, and drop the gun.

After the officer opened fire, the suspect could be seen moving behind a church pillar.

Soon, another policeman joins his co-worker behind a pile of rubbish. In the rapid sequence of shootings, the suspect finally falls to the ground, the shots show.

“They got him, they got him,” the shooter could be heard saying.

About a dozen policemen climbed the stairs with drawn guns before circling the suspect motionless.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Morning Site Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

No one else was injured in the blast, officials said.
