After facing numerous delays and much speculation, EA’s free-to-play battle royale Apex Legends yesterday came to Switch. Developed by Respawn Entertainment and led by Panic Button, we’ve previously heard a few things about the challenges involved in taking it on.
Panic Button has previously outlined the technical performance of the Switch port, running at 720p docked, 576p in hand mode, both with a fixed of 30 frames per second. But you may be wondering, how does this look compared to rival platforms?
Today, GameXplain has posted a side-by-side comparison, comparing Apex Legends on Switch with a PS4 Pro using a series of clips. As expected, the Switch edition has a remarkable visual success, while retaining all the features and content of other versions.
Despite these commitments, it seems that Panic Button has preserved the way we play here, and in due course we will present all our thoughts to you.
