Next week comes the arrival of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s time on the switch. In the run-up to this exciting third-party version, YouTuber Cycu1 has crafted a video of “initial graphic comparison” in 1080p, comparing the cut-out scenes from the Nintendo version to the PlayStation 4 Pro version.
At a glance, it’s honestly hard to know which is which, but it’s true that there are several differences. When this game arrives on March 12, Nintendo fans will be able to experience the game at 720p in handheld mode and 1080p docked, with 30 FPS in both modes.
This is what Toys for Bob Creative, producer Lou Studdert, had to say when asked about the hardest part about launching the game on Switch, during a chat with our sister site Push Square:
“I mean it’s the same challenge as bringing it to any console, honestly. There’s a lot of content in the game. There are so many levels, there are so many different ways to play, there are all these different things to make sure they work. So for our engineers, our artists, and our quality control team, we just make sure it’s a perfect transition and has the same performance as the consoles we originally launched with. It’s a great company.“
