The action taken by a railway worker in rescuing a 6-year-old child has been recognized as an act of heroism.
Video surveillance cameras captured the distressing rescue of a 6-year-old boy who accidentally fell over the railroad tracks just before he was hit by a train.
The incident occurred on April 17 at Vangani Railway Station, India. The little one was accompanying his blind mother when he suddenly slipped on the rails.

The improviser in rescue is Mayur Shelke, a railway worker, who has been recognized by the authorities as a hero.
