Over the weekend it came to light that several early buyers of the digital version of Sonic Colors Ultimate were encountering some pretty major visual issues in the Switch version of the game, which included a lot of flashing textures, lighting cantilever and deformed models. , distorted animations and other visual anomalies hard to miss.
Needless to say, we didn’t find anything similar when we played reviewing the game, but after following the steps posted on Youtube by JustLemres (WARNING: Also contains flashing images), we were able to replicate and verify the existence of Switch hardware problems.
While most gamers are unlikely to come across this in what we would vaguely call a “normal” game, the video from the charming Alex Olney offers a brief overview of the kind of things you can find if you’re unlucky, or if you are actively looking to extend Sonic halfway across the screen.
