Both the Minnesota Vikings and the Arizona Cardinals are well prepared for Sunday’s Week 2 game in the desert. We have initial reports of injuries from both clubs, so let’s take a look at some blows and bruises.
As always, we start with the visiting team.
Vikings of Minnesota
He did not participate
- LB Anthony Barr (knee)
- CB Harrison Hand (hamstrings)
Limited participation
- OT Christian Darrisaw (English)
- LB Nick Vigil (ankle)
Full participation

At this point, I think I would be more surprised if Anthony Barr did practice instead of seeing it come out again. I’m not sure how much we can expect from him in advance, which is frustrating. Hand had a great game on special teams, so I hope his setback is less. Vigil had an exceptional match against the Bengals on Sunday also in place of Barr.
And now, to the local team.
Arizona Cardinals
He did not participate
- OL Kelvin Beachum (ribs)
- WR AJ Green (veteran day off)
- WR DeAndre Hopkins (veteran day off)
- OL Rodney Hudson (veteran day off)
- LB Devon Kennard (hamstring)
- S Charles Washington (thigh)

With a few days off veterans sprinkled, the Cardinals don’t seem to have any really serious injury issues as they currently are. Obviously, we’ll be monitoring the reports throughout the week to see if anything changes.
These are your initial reports of injuries to the Vikings and Cardinals, folks. Hopefully, we’ll see Hand and Vigil (at least) slightly improved when the next reports are released Thursday afternoon.
