If you’ve been following the NFL recently, you’ll probably notice the pretty big trade between the Rams and the Lions.
Some reports and rumors have suggested that Minnesota might be interested in doing the same, but fans of the Vikings should take those with a grain of salt.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network continued Pat McAfee show and said something that went against these recent rumors (H / T Skor North). Asked about the Cousins who will play the 49ers next season, Rapoport said, “I don’t sense anything.”
“I would never say anything is impossible,” Rapoport said. “As you know, this NFL world taught us basically anyone who can change. The one that would really surprise me for a couple of reasons. One, I’m not sure it will benefit the Vikings. And I don’t know if Cousins is a superior upgrade to Jimmy G. When they’re both healthy and both play, are we sure Cousins is as big as he is for what it costs? “
Cousins has just finished his third season with the Vikings. It started rocky, but helped the offense have a high octane rating throughout the stretch. Still, he gained a lot of contempt from Viking fans, but with the way his contract is structured, it looks like the team has stayed with him for the foreseeable future.
