Walmart shot: 2 shots outside Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania

WHITEHALL TWP., Pennsylvania (WPVI) – A shooting outside a Walmart in Lehigh Valley injured two people Friday night, police said.

The shooting occurred around 7 p.m. at Block 2600 on MacArthur Road in Whitehall Township.

Police said two people were shot while outside the store.

Witnesses at the site said the incident happened suddenly.

“As I walk in, I feel like a‘ boom, boom. ’I thought it was a car escape or something,” Qusai Muhasen of New Jersey said.

It seems that Walmart never closed despite the large police presence.

“As we entered the parking lot, we saw one of the Whitehall police cars fly up the main entrance to TJ Maxx and head for Walmart,” said Scott Dias of Upper Macungie. “In a matter of seconds, we saw more than five or six police cars appear.”

There is no word on the status of the victims of the shooting.

Police have not released any details about a suspect or motive.
